What happens when your trust is betrayed?

I cannot believe I am posting this.but it may be a lesson for others to be careful who you trust.my 'friends ' dog walkers who I have trusted for 3 years have been looking after Bert and Bonnie.for lots of reasons they have been with them for 8 weeks.ive had regular updates,some friends have also been told ,all is great and what a great time they were having.they dropped them back last night.when I turned on the light and took off her harnessing this is what I found.words cannot express how I feel,I don't think I will ever be able to to explain the gut wrenching feeling of betrayal,anger,despair,guilt and shame that I feel right now...the vet has said she was close to death.we don't know if there is any organ damage.if not she will be ok.she is on a critical care diet for now.has to stay warm and cozy and not go for walks.She is covered in bite marks,her feet are raw and she has a scar on her face.i don't ask usually but I could sure do with prayers and healing thoughts right now xxxxxxxx

Gill. I'm so sorry. They should be held accountable for this.

Gill SinclairI am numb to be honest..Those who know me,know i would normally be screaming and if im honest attacking these people..But,i know them,i have known them for nearly 4 years.they are an older couple who have big hearts and i would have trusted implicitly ... i cant explain the mixed emotions im going through..the disbelief and sense of betrayal have floored me! But trust me,i will have them,i will get justice for Bonnie and IF she dies,they will wish they had never met me !

Give Bonnie strength to survive this & bless her AND Bert with long, healthy lives. Be with Gill in the days to come. Give her strength & guidance as she cares for Bonnie & Bert and has to decide what to do regarding the people that mistreated her beloved pets. AMEN
